Family Commitment Service

A special celebration where parents make a public commitment to raise their children according to the Word of God.

About the Service

At Rock Bridge, we are honored to partner with parents to glorify God by connecting their kids to life in Christ!

Our Family Commitment Service is a special time of prayer and dedication, where parents publicly commit to putting God first in their homes and seeking His wisdom as they lead their families.

Surrounded by loved ones, small groups, guests, and our church family, parents pledge to guide their children toward a trusting and loving relationship with Jesus Christ. In turn, our church community commits to walking alongside families—offering support, encouragement, and pointing them to Christ. Galatians 6:2

The service concludes with a special time of prayer, asking God’s blessings over each family as they raise their children to know and follow Him.

Is this service for me?

  • I am parent or legal guardian who has placed my faith and trust in Jesus Christ
  • I am ready to commit to raising my child(ren) towards becoming a disciple of Christ and accept the support and accountability of the church community
  • I am faithfully committed to a biblical, God-honoring marriage or I am single and honoring God in my singleness
  • I have an infant, toddler or older child who I have not already publicly committed to raising towards life in Christ
  • I am prepared to model life in Christ for my child(ren) and welcome the support and accountability that the church will offer
  • I understand that this service does not equal baptism, my child(ren) will not be saved, or secured a place in heaven, and it will not produce a problem-free, perfect child
