Main Point: God calls us to share our struggle with one another and pray for each other!

Bible Basis: John 17; James 5:13-16

Key Verse: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” – James 5:16

Small Group Discussion Questions:

Have you ever struggled with something and needed someone to pray for you? Did you share that struggle and ask for prayer? (Take answers from your kids. Consider telling them about a time when you struggled and needed someone to pray for you.)
Have you ever prayed for someone else? What did you pray about? (Talk about ways that we can pray for others. We can pray for others when they are struggling, we can pray and ask God to help us minister to others, and we can even rejoice and thank God for good things he does for other people!)
Spend some time as a family writing out prayer requests and praying aloud for one another. Encourage your kids to also pray aloud for themselves and each other.
